Town Board Regular Meeting

April 8, 2008  

Immediately Following the Annual Meeting

 

Chairman Jack Huston called the meeting to order. Present were Supervisors Joan Hilgendorf, Bill Jelinek and Kevin Koth.

 

Following the Pledge of Allegiance Phyllis Evans gave the treasurer’s report as follows:  Building & Office Equipment Fund - $35,760.09 Equipment Fund - $76,201.80, General Savings Account - $269,626.11 Checking Account - $126,315.12 Two Greenwood Cemetery CD’s - $135,416.53 and $10,918.16. M/M Koth/Jelinek to accept the report. Passed 4-0

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Huston to approve the minutes of March 10, 2008 with corrections. Passed 4-0

M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to approve the payment of vouchers #1428 through #1500. Passed 4-0

 

There were no license applications.

 

Byron Lange reported that we did not receive any TRIPS funds. Engineer Rod Akey has drawn up the specs for Peaceful Valley Road and they will be in the paper for two weeks with the bid opening set for May 8th.

Steigerwaldt Land Services has been in contact with Mr. Jeff Arnold from Sand Lane with an offer to purchase the needed land to widen the road. He has 60 days from the day of delivery of the registered letter sent March 31st to accept or reject the offer.

The tree cutting has been finished on Lonn Road and the crew is finishing Kablitz Road.

The road crew will start working four-ten hour days (6 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.) the first Monday in May through the summer, which will coincide with the county.

 

The spring road tour has been scheduled for May 7th starting at 7 A.M.

 

M/M Koth/Jelinek to accept the low bid from American Asphalt for Koth Road. Passed 4-0

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to pay Bob Eisenman five weeks vacation plus the two one half weeks accrued upon retirement. Passed 4-0

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Koth not to pay the accrued seven weeks sick leave pay as he does not have 20 years service. Passed 3-1 with Huston voting no.

 

Following the road tour on May 7th, the board will meet to go over the road supervisor applications and draw up a benefit guideline for the job.

 

Supervisor Hilgendorf said that she would wait for the ground to dry before getting someone in to clean the carpet in the meeting room.

 

M/M Koth/Jelinek to pass the resolution 2008-2 “Requiring the Submittal of Detailed Site Plans”.

Passed 4-0.

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Huston to accept the following Plan Commission forms drawn up by Foth:

A.    Rezone Request Process

B.    Conditional Use Process

C.    Minor Land Division Review Process

D.    Major Land Division Review Process

Passed 4-0.

 

The fireworks permit had not been returned for Billy Bob’s and will be placed on the May agenda.

 

The board will view the Fulsher School and W. Kraft Road properties during the road tour as complaints have been made.

 

M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to adjourn. Passed 4-0.
