August's Board Meeting Minutes

Town Board Regular Meeting
August 10, 2009
6:00 P.M.
Chairman Kevin Koth called the meeting to order. Present were Supervisors Joan Hilgendorf, Bill Jelinek and LeRoy Rupnow.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance Phyllis Evans gave the treasurer’s report as follows: Building & Office Equipment Fund - $43,360.40, Equipment Fund - $142,962.98, General Savings Account - $85,992.88, Checking Account - $83,337.41, Cemetery Building - $20,918.45. Two Greenwood Cemetery CD’s - $100,000.00 and $11,533.08.
M/M Hilgendorf/Rupnow to approve the minutes of the meeting on July13th. Passed 4-0
M/M Jelinek/Hilgendorf to approve payment of vouchers #2557 through #2638. Passed 4-0.
M/M Hilgendorf /Rupnow to approve the operator’s license for Deona Parker. Passed 4-0
Road Consultant Byron Lange reported that Peaceful Valley Road is complete and striped.
The sinkhole on Ridge Road has been fixed and American Asphalt will black top the area.
Sand Lane is just about finished and will be blacktopped if there is enough money left in the budget. Byron will call American to get a price.
The grubbing is done on High View Road and a culvert needs to be put in on the end. High View will be blacktopped when Deer Lake Road is done.
Alber Road is finished – has been ditched and the culvert has been put in. Gravel needs to be put on yet.
Phil Raasch, Supervisor from the Town of Wilson was present. They are planning on double seal coating or blacktopping Jones Road and would like the Town of Bradley to share the cost. Byron recommended blacktop. Phil will get back to the town on the cost.
Bill reported that the memorial plaque for the cemetery has been ordered, and the table/counter should be in this week. The storage building has been painted, and new soffit pieces need to be put on to replace the damaged ones. There have been pulley problems with the Zero-turn mower and it may need to be replaced on 2010.
Joan and LeRoy reported that Crystal Beach is cleaned up. There are stumps at Kahle Park and Crystal Beach that need to be ground.
Elsie Bartz said that the Kahle Family Reunion had money left over this year and would like to use it to have another sink put in at Kahle Park.
Joan reported that the landscaping around the flag pole and shrubbery has been completed at the hall. Gary Hilgendorf has found a key lock door handle for the door in the new part of the hall.
Harry Gladwin reported that he and two other Plan Commission members had met with Dan Bowers to correct several parcels on the land use map. Dan Miller and Dan Bowers will attend the next Plan Commission meeting on August 24th to do a presentation on the Plan Update to comply with Smart Growth. He asked that all the board members attend.
The next meeting will be moved to the third Monday in September, which is the 21st.
The October meeting will be the third Monday also, the 19th.
