Town Board Regular Meeting

August 8, 2011  

5:30 P.M.

 

Chairman Kevin Koth called the meeting to order. Present were Supervisors Joan Hilgendorf, Robert Eisenman and Bill Jelinek.

 

Phyllis Evans gave the treasurer’s report as follows:  Building & Office Equipment Fund - $53,120.23 Equipment Fund - $203,262.34 General Savings Account - $148,497.26, Checking Account - $94,256.27, Cemetery Fund - $19,755.44. Greenwood Cemetery CD’s - $100,000.00 and $12,021.55.

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Eisenman to approve the minutes from the July 11th meeting. Motion passed 4-0

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Jelinek to approve payment of vouchers #4147 through #4206. Motion passed 4-0.

 

There were no license applications or correspondence.

 

M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to accept the truck proposal from Truck Country for the purchase of a new truck. Motion passed 4-0

 

M/M Eisenman/Jelinek to accept the proposal from Monroe Trucking for the truck equipment. Motion passed 4-0

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Koth that the purchase of the new truck which will be fully equipped will not exceed $140,000.00. Motion passed 4-0

 

A public hearing at the Bradley Town Hall, 1518 W. Mohawk Drive, at 5:00 P.M. September 12, 2011 for a request of John and Wendy Plaskey for a zoning change for parcels #04.133406.010.002.00.00 and #04.133406.010.006.00.00 from Rural Residential 1 (RR1) to Crossroads Mixed Use (CMU) to operate a motorcycle museum on the former Watergate Supper Club property. A notice will be published in the Tomahawk Leader.

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Eisenman to recommend approval for a conditional use permit for Jim Swan to construct a mini-storage building with possible a second to follow on parcel#04.063406.011.001.01.02 with the conditions recommended by the Lincoln County Zoning. Motion passed 4-0

 

Plan Commission Chair said that the next Plan Commission meeting will be August 22nd, if needed.

 

The easement request of Lee Drengler, 9946 Mohawksin Rd. will be placed on the September agenda as the board needs to see a drawing of the lot with measurements as to where the septic will be placed near the road.

 

Glenn Mott appeared asking that Echo Valley Road be opened to ATV’s so that he can access Hwy A. Rose L. Lynd and Rose E. Lynd spoke against this as they are concerned about noise.

M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to amend and add to the Town Code under 7.20 Designation of All-Terrain Vehicle Routes: (5) Echo Valley Road  from CTH A to Echo Point Road. Motion passed 3-0 with Eisenman voting “no”.

 

A complaint had been received about the Bay Mill Boat Landing being parked full of cars from people who are staying out on the island. There is no room for boats to be launched. “No overnight parking” signs will be put up.

 

Brian Gruhlke reported that the John Deere mower is leaking oil. He suggested selling the mower and buying a 4-wheeler. Hilgendorf said that she thought a utility vehicle would be better. It could be shared between the cemetery, parks and roads. Brian will look into prices of a used one and report back to the board at the September meeting.

 

Jelinek reported that Foley’s Tree Service had removed two large trees at the cemetery. The stumps will have to be ground and cleaned up.

 

Hilgendorf reported that the teeter-totters are up at both parks. Phyllis Evans said that there is grass growing in the basketball court that needs to be taken care of.

 

Koth got the Kahle Park keys back from Victor Brietzke.

 

A plaque will be ordered for the tree that was planted in Russell Whittenberger’s memory.

 

Byron Lange reported that the blacktopping will take place the first part of September.

 

A mobile home has been brought in and parked on the property by AJ’s. A deck has already been added. No permits have been obtained. Lincoln County Zoning has been notified.

 

Hilgendorf reported that the lights for the shop have been delivered. Also, that the roof over the fuel tanks will be replaced.

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to sign the Resolution 3-11 for the Jim Swan zoning map change that was approved at the July meeting.

 

The clerk will call Tripoli Propane to top off the propane tanks at the Waste & Recycling sites.

 

“No Weapons Allowed in this Building” signs will be put up at the hall.

 

M/M Hilgendorf/Jelinek to adjourn. Motion passed 4-0
