1) Meeting called to order by Chairman Jack Huston.
2) Pledge of Allegiance.
3) Don Dunphy, Candidate for Circuit Court Judge spoke on his qualifications and answered questions.
4) Public Comment: Dave Claflin, Gerald Klopp and Joe Henrichs stated they would like the floor when their agenda item was discussed.
5) Treasurer’s Report: Equipment Fund – $9,109.26, Building Fund - $5026.63 General Savings - $1,823,188.58 Tax Money Collected - $1,828,807.27 Checking Account - $70,931.50, Greenwood Cemetery CD’s - $135,416.53 & $9,697.43. Indebtedness - $326,182.64. M/M to accept report Bartz/Koth 4-0
6) Approve Minutes: M/M to approve the minutes of 12-8-03 (2) and 12-22-03. Jelinek/Bartz 4-0

Clerk’s Business: A: M/M
to approve payment of vouchers #11228 through #11320. Bartz/Koth 4-0 B:No

Letter of support for LNCC grant application: M/M to sign letter.

Letter of support for DNR grant for Spirit Reservoir: M/M to sign

Letter from Joe Henrich: A letter from Mr. Henrich was read and Mr.
Henrich was present to present his lighting, landscape and design plan for a
proposed storage unit for approval. He addressed all eight of the conditions
that were set by Lincoln County Zoning in a Notice of Action. He will appear at
the Plan Commission meeting on January 26th and the Board will meet
immediately following the commission meeting.

Plan Commission
Report: Diana Smith presented a letter to the Board concerning
conditional use requests and the land use plan.

No recommendations for the Plan Commission

Road Report: Due to the absence of Byron Lange, Crass Road will be
discussed at the February meeting
15)
Plan Commission Seminars and Training Sessions: Supervisor asked that
more than one person from the Plan Commission be allowed to attend seminars and
training sessions. The board felt that this would be allowable when needed.

Mobile Home Ordinance: No action

Driveway Ordinance: No action
18)
Paid Holidays for road workers: The clerk asked for clarification on
wages when a paid holiday fell on a weekend. She asked if the workers should be
given the day before or after the holiday off, or be paid for the holiday in
addition to the regular work week wages. The Board felt that they should be paid
in addition top the regular hours.
19)
Library Report: Supervisor Bartz reported that the Library lawsuit
has been given to a new judge.
20)
Cemetery Report: There was one Cemetery Sexton job application
returned. The clerk will contact the applicant to set up an interview.
21)
Other business: Jelinek reported that Rigney Construction said they
didn’t have time to build an entrance shelter and that Koss Construction will
be getting back to him. Jelinek also reported on a seminar that he attended and
said he had copied some of the information for the Board.
All supervisors will be attending the WTA District meeting on February 12th.
