Supervisor Hilgendorf said that the Half Moon Lake District asked if the town would abandon the boat landing on the lake as there is concern about boats bringing invasive species into the lake. Joan said that in checking the files she found that the district had received a grant from the state some years ago and that could play a part in not being able to abandon. It was also mentioned that it would have to get approval from the DNR. Joan will check into it further.
Harry Gladwin reported that there had not been any applications so the June meeting had been cancelled. Also Lincoln County Zoning has not heard further from Wegner Oil on developing a gas station by the Hwy 8 & 51 interchange. The next commission meeting will be July 26th if needed.
Byron Lange said that all the black topping is finished, and the shouldering will be done within the next couple weeks. Roadside mowing has been started.
Supervisor Jelinek said that with all the rain there has been a lot of mowing done at the cemetery so nothing has been started on the scattering garden as of yet.
Supervisors Hilgendorf and Eisenman said that there is a problem with grass in the infield’s on the ball diamonds and they are trying to take care of it. The diamond at Kahle Park was sprayed for ground hornets.
Hilgendorf said that the carpets will be cleaned in the next couple weeks.
Koth and Jelinek will talk to Ernie Pflum to see if he will be returning to work.
Jelinek said that we received some posters and pamphlets on the new recycling laws for electronics and they will be passed out at the sites.
