"UNAPPROVED MINUTES"

Town Board Regular Meeting

June 14, 2010 

6:00 P.M.

 

Chairman Kevin Koth called the meeting to order. Present were Supervisors Joan Hilgendorf, Bill Jelinek and Robert Eisenman.

Phyllis Evans gave the treasurer’s report as follows:  Building & Office Equipment Fund - $43,165.86 Equipment Fund - $136,604.17, General Savings Account - $319,575.02, Checking Account - $32,826.32, Cemetery Building - $20,233.01, Greenwood Cemetery CD’s - $100,000.00 and $11,823.85.

M/M Hilgendorf/Jelinek to approve the minutes from the meetings held on May 10th and 19th. Motion Passed 4-0

M/M Jelinek/Eisenman to approve payment of vouchers #3230 through #3310. Motion Passed 4-0

M/M Koth/Jelinek to approve the license applications for the following establishments A&J Sports Bar & Grill, Besse’s On Clear Lake, Big Moose Supper Club, Billy Bob's Sports Bar & Grill, Edgewater Country Club, Cockatiel's Bar & Grill, Rattleznake Jakez, Four Corners Tap, Holly's, Inshalla Country Club,  End Zone, The Good Times, Norma's 2, Oaks Pub, Silver Birch Supper Club, T's Roadhouse, Tomahawk Race Way, Kracker Barrel, and The Junction Restaurant, with the exception for Fishbones, there’s will be approved when notice is received that they have the proper certificates. Motion Passed 4-0

M/M Hilgendorf/Jelinek to approve the operator’s licenses for Timothy Cook, Ashley Edwards, Jill VanStrydonk, and Rachel Janz. Motion Passed 4-0

M/M Hilgendorf/Eisenman to approve the zoning change request of Kenneth and Robin Islo to amend the Lincoln County Comprehensive Plan by changing the planned land use classification for the northerly 770 feet + or - of tax parcel 04.163506.003.000.00.00 from “Private Forest” to “Rural Single Family Residential”. The request includes approximately the north 12 acres of a 26 acre parcel in Gvt Lot 2 of Section 16, T35N-R6E in the Town of Bradley. The purpose for the plan change is to accommodate a rezoning request to Rural Residential 3 from Forestry. Motion Passed 4-0.

M/M Koth/Jelinek to approve the request by Kenneth C. and Robin L. Islo to rezone the northerly 770 feet + or - of tax parcel 04.163506.003.000.00.00, approximately 12 acres, from Forestry to Rural Residential 3 and the remaining approximately 14 acres from Forestry to Rural Lands 2 . Also, the following tax parcel numbers are requested to be rezoned from Forestry to Rural Lands 2; 04.163506.009.000.00.00 (approximately 40 acres) and 04.163506.010.001.00.00 (approximately 35 acres). The purpose for the rezone is to accommodate future subdivision and potential year-round homes. Motion Passed 4-0.

The board agreed that Don Gerum could continue to proceed with the abandonment of a section of town road that was never developed along side of Dereg Road. All costs incurred will be paid by Don Gerum and Karl Zimmerman.

Joan Giusto from the Harrison Hills ATV Club appeared to ask the town board to consider opening Crass, Kaphaem and Kings Roads to ATVS.  Phil Rausch from the Somo ATV Club asked to have Bay Mill Road opened. It was decided to have a public hearing following the July Town Board meeting.

Byron Lange reported that the utility companies are done on Deer Lake Road and Tuesday the road crew will stake the shoulders, and the gravel will be hauled on Wednesday. The road will be pulverized the following week. The plan is to have it blacktopped around July 4th.

Koth reported that Quest Development made another two month payment in June, but they are still six months behind. If another payment is not received by July 15th it will be turned over to the town’s attorney.

M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to approve fireworks permits for Mary & Mike Smith, W7183 Loop Road, Robert Weaver,N10130 Echo Valley Road, Gerald Brummond,  W5296 Highview Road, Harold Schrage (2) W6815 Peaceful Valley Road, Ken Kenworthy, W5220 Terrace View Road, William Steinhafel, 6976 Branch Road, Douglas & Sally Scheel, W5409 Selmer Road, and John Swarmer, N10503 Tannery Road. Motion Passed 4-0.

Jelinek reported that the Greenwood Cemetery looked good for Memorial Day. The new mower is being used without any problems. Fill has been hauled and leveled at the cemetery and the workers will start clearing for the scattering garden.

Gary Hilgendorf will meet with Hilgy’s LP to discuss changing the duct work for the furnaces at the Town Hall.

The main door at the town hall has been painted. The benches at the Theisen park lower ball field will be painted. Dana Turgeon will service the park mower.

The clerk will send a letter to Jennie Lee about the rental price for Kahle Park for the baseball tournament in September.

M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to have the Town roads mowed by Chuck Theiler south section and B&J north section. Motion Passed 4-0

M/M Hilgendorf/Eisenman to adjourn. Motion Passed 4-0
