Meeting minutes, May 3, 2004 (Due to the absence of secretary Eckman, minutes were taken by Commissioner Gladwin)
Commissioners present; Ben Brown, Harry Gladwin, William Jelinek, Hal Schrage, Chairperson Diana Smith
Commissioners absent; Ann Eckman, Caroline Lemke
1. Chairperson Smith called the meeting to order at 6:31 PM
2. Minutes of the April 26, 2004 meeting were approved. A motion by Hal Schrage, seconded by Bill Jelinek passed unanimously.
3. No public comment was given.
4. The draft flow chart was amended. A motion to accept the final draft and recommend it to the Town Board for approval was proposed by Harry Gladwin, and seconded by Hal Schrage. The motion passed unanimously.
5. The commission recommended the Town Board approve Chairperson Smith’s suggested addition to Section 17.8.30 to the Ad Hoc committee for consideration. A motion was made by Bill Jelinek and seconded by Hal Schrage. The motion passed unanimously.
6. Commissioner Jelinek suggested a meeting for town residents to explain the proposed zoning map changes, with a Lincoln County Zoning Department representative in attendance to answer questions. He further suggested a second meeting perhaps like board of review for residents to address questions about how the new zoning would affect their property and potential future plans. A motion was made to recommend this to the Town Board by Harry Gladwin and seconded by Hal Schrage. It passed unanimously.
7. Commissioner Jelinek discussed two items from the recent Towns association meeting.
Chairperson Smith reported the Ad Hoc non-official Code Review meeting of May 18, 2004 would be held at Bambino’s and open to interested commission members.
Commissioner Schrage was concerned with legibility of commission related E Mail in color. He recommended black & white for future transmissions.
8. No non-commission members were present.
9. A special meeting will be held on May 17th at 6:30 PM with Town Board permission. Should requests be presented the traditional meeting will be held on May 24.
13. A motion to adjourn at 8:40 PM was made by Bill Jelinek, seconded by Hal Schrage, and passed unanimously.
