Town Board Regular Meeting

November 8, 2010  

Immediately following the Budget Meetings

 

Chairman Kevin Koth called the meeting to order. Present were Supervisors Joan Hilgendorf, Bill Jelinek and Robert Eisenman.

M/M Hilgendorf/Jelinek to adopt the 2011 budget. Motion passed 4-0.

Phyllis Evans gave the treasurer’s report as follows:  Building & Office Equipment Fund - $52,828.37 Equipment Fund - $202,386.65 General Savings Account - $54,902.58, Checking Account - $165,701.23, Cemetery Building - $20,233.01, Greenwood Cemetery CD’s - $100,000.00 and $11,823.85.

M/M Hilgendorf/Eisenman to approve the minute of October 11, 18 and 25. Motion passed 4-0

M/M Hilgendorf/Eisenman to approve payment of vouchers #3570 through #3642. Motion passed 4-0.

The petition for blacktopping the last 02 miles of Peaceful Valley Road was discussed.  Byron Lange said that there would have to be a title search on the adjoining properties to find out exactly what the road width’s are for this section. Byron will contact Steigerwaldt Land Services to get a quote to perform a title search for this section of road right of way.

M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to approve the CUP for Roger Schlegel of Heritage R.V. to operate a recreational vehicle sales facility at N10954 County Road A.  Motion passed 4-0

Byron Lange reported that Duffek has started crushing gravel for the Town, at a price of $4.85 a yard. The Town Crew will be hauling gravel to stock pile at the Town Hall. Also, gravel has been hauled for Blum, Geoffroy, Wadel and Alery Roads. Brian Gruhlke will check on prices to purchase a new chain saw and limb saw for the Town.

Bill Jelinek, Harry Gladwin, Bob Eisenman and possibly Hal Schrage will be attending the WTA seminar in Stevens Point on December 17th.

Hilgendorf said that she would like to see the front of the building trim fixed. Also, we should consider an enclosed entry way with a mail slot for taxes to be dropped in when the hall is closed.

Use of the hall for groups other than non-profit and governmental groups will be on the December agenda.

It was decided not to purchase new chairs for the head table.

Jelinek said that he had received a complaint that someone had placed a “private road” sign part way down RAILWAY Street off of Hwy Y and that road has never been abandoned. Brian Gruhlke will be contacting Greg Myre to see if they know who put it up.

Eisenman said that two of the bins at the Sunset Point recycling site need repairs, the covers are not tight and rain gets in them.

Another letter will be sent to Joe Pickett as his truck is still being parked on the road right-of-way on Short Road.
