Town Board Regular Meeting
October 8, 2007
6:00 P.M.
Supervisor Bill Jelinek called the meeting to order in the absence of Chairman Jack Huston. Present were Supervisors Joan Hilgendorf and Kevin Koth.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance Phyllis Evans gave the treasurer’s report as follows: Building & Office Equipment Fund - $37,085.24 Equipment Fund - $11,776.94, General Savings Account - $10,555.08 Checking Account - $164,381.06 Two Greenwood Cemetery CD’s - $135,416.53 and $10,539.68. M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to accept the report. Passed 3-0
M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to approve the minutes of September 10. Passed 3-0
M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to approve the payment of vouchers #1002 through #1057. Passed 3-0
M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to approve the operator’s license for Janet Clifford, Arleen Kelly and Linda Bradfish. Passed 3-0
The clerk noted that she had received a letter from Tomahawk Iron & Steel stating that they were discontinuing recycling with the exception of cardboard. A copy was given to the Board members.
The deed for unused roadway by Bohnert Road will be placed on the November agenda.
M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to approve the fireworks permit and application with changes. Passed 3-0
M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to approve Resolution 4-07 Approving Ordinance 2007-10-514 Which Creates Revisions To The Lincoln County Zoning Ordinance. Passed 3-0
Road Consultant Byron Lange reported that the ditching on Wadell, Behling and Koth roads and the grinding of Behling is done. Culverts are in on all the roads. Kings Road has been centerlines. He met with Steigerwaldt concerning Sand Lane.
The board agreed to expend $50,000 for gravel crushing to be used in 2008.
A letter will be sent to Randy Becker on Peaceful Valley Road to move the semi truck that is parked on the shoulder of the road as it is a safety hazard and makes road maintenance difficult.
Supervisor Jelinek reported that Rick Jahns would help out at the cemetery when needed.
M/M Koth/Hilgendorf to approve the updated cemetery rules. Passed 3-0
Supervisor Koth reported that the water at Kahle Park has been shut off, and the swing area has been dug out and is ready to put sand down. All the ball fields have been disked and dragged.
The clerk will call the Coke office to have the machine moved as soon as the area is leveled.
M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to approve Resolution 5-07 for the Discontinuance of an Alley. Passes 3-0
Fulsher Sanitary Commissioners were appointed as follows:
Cliff Behrens Nov. 2007 through Nov. 2011, Rob McAllister Oct 2007 through Oct. 2009 and Lisa McAllister Dec. 2007 through Dec. 2011.
M/M to approve the Plan Commission recommendation for failure to obtain a permit (after the fact) will be three times the amount of the normal permit fee. Passed 3-0
Supervisor Jelinek reported that bid requests for waste and recycling has been published in the paper and sent out to eight companies.
M/M Hilgendorf/Koth to adjourn. Passed 3-0.
