Special Town Board Hearing
September 28, 2006
9:00 A.M.
Bradley Town Hall
Present were Town Board Supervisors Elsie Bartz, Kevin Koth and twelve Deer Lake landowners.
Elsie Bartz opened the hearing.
Phil Schlachtenhaufen explained the reasons for forming the district.
JoAnna C. Meagle had several objections to forming the district such as added taxes, selection of committee members and cost of milfoil eradication.
Ron Suske, John Bujalski and Phil explained and answered all her concerns, Following the explanations she withdrew her objections.
Ken Mark explained the milfoil problem and the problem of low water due to the erosion of the channel that leads into Deer Lake. He presented pictures of fish kill and bare shoreline beyond the docks. He has been in contact with the DNR about restoring the channel so water does not run back into Lake Nokomis.
As there was no further comment, the hearing was closed.
